Divination and the New Moon Lodge


Divination is to divine. To divine is to commune with Great Mystery. Great Mystery is that Spirit which goes by many many different names. It has been called Universal Mind, Cosmoc Consciousness, The Source, Unified Field, Matrix, Great Spirit, The Aethers and countless additional names. This Universal Cosmic Mind is in and through us and in and through all things. It is Great Spirit in which we live and move and have our Being. This Great Sea of Cosmic Conscious is responsive to us. It responds to our vibration, our breath, our thoughts. All things seen and unseen live in this Great Mystery.

If an individual is unsure, untaught, or somehow incapable of sitting still in the silence of the Great Mystery and listen for the answers to life's questions then occasionally it becomes necessary to contact a divination medium to perform this service for them. At some time in everyone's life there is a need to know some seemingly unknowable thing in order to plan your life's direction. You need to know which choice to make; which way to turn. Your questions and decisions may concern health, employment, a relationship, a soul transition, a move or any number of other questions. Or you may be so upset and confused that you don't know what questions to ask.

Divination has been practiced since human beings were created. This service was performed by tribal spiritual leaders or the priestly class of early peoples.

Through the millennia, methods have included casting of stones, bones, sticks, shells, etc., interpretations of omens, tea leaves, palms, cards, the heavens, dreams and many other ways. Every medium and/or reader has particular tools, omens or ways that hold special meaning and "speak" to them.

The old saying, "Education is knowledge, and knowledge is power," is an absolute truth that was discovered early on by the priestly class. It was quickly learned that the way to hold on to power was to keep the masses ignorant. The easiest way to keep the masses ignorant was to convince them that their god would be displeased and punish them if they should attempt divination on their own.
